Mona Williams Visits St Joseph's

On 4th August Mona Williams visited St Joseph's.  Mona is a wonderful storyteller who travels the world sharing with her audiences.  Mona grew up in Guyana, a country at the top of South America just above Brazil.

She came to New Zealand with her 2 daughters in the 70s, she is currently teaching in Kuwait and travelling the world telling her fabulous stories.

This was a very special experience for us all.

Room 1 share their thoughts:

Mona Williams is an extremely, amazing storyteller. What I liked the most about her was that she always spoke with expression and that she had this kind of vibe that pulled you in and made you want to be a part of everything she did.

Mona Williams, an amazing, one of a kind storyteller. I loved the way she spoke in different tones to make the story come alive.

Mona Williams is an amazing storyteller. Every time I looked around I could see that people were really keen and listening to her speak and sing.

I loved the way Mona Williams was able to tell her stories with such expression, that she was able to lure us somehow, almost as if we were in the story.

Not only was she just telling us her stories, in between we were able to do games and some movements to get our brains working.
