We kick-started the year with great Science experiments:
Jacks & Jills and the Bean-Stalks
We discovered that bean seeds grow best when they have sufficient sunlight water and shelter. To our surprise, seeds placed in our classroom cupboard still managed to grow despite having no sunlight! However, they looked very thin and weak.

Palaeontology Rocks!
We pretended to be palaeontologists for a day and dug up some great dinosaur fossils in class! It was very exciting to put the skeletons together and we felt like real scientists when we drew and labelled our findings. Palaeontology rocks!

Making a T-Rex tooth cast
This was the BEST experiment of all. With the help of Mrs Morris' Room 1 'lab assistants', we each got to make a T-Rex tooth cast using a real T-Rex tooth fossil and plaster of Paris. After waiting a very long 18 hours, we finally got to take our tooth cast home and show it off to our family. Fabulous!

Wonder what's in store for Term 2? We can't wait!
