• What is Tapu?

In Room 8 we have been learning about "What is Tapu?"

We thought about places that we worship, symbols and signs that we know and use. We decided to make a display for the school foyer.

 

We drew crosses to remind us of God

 

We drew Maori and Polynesian patterns on the cross and coloured it with crayons.

 

 

Next we dyed the crosses.

 

We also painted a Marae and a Church as these places remind us of God too.

 

Here are our crosses on display in the office.  Come and see them sometime!
