Room six has spent a lot of Term 2 concentrating on narrative story writing.
We looked at the story of the Three Billy Goats Gruff, after rewriting this story we did crayon and dye art work to show what we learnt.
We then studied the story of Chicken Licken.

We decided that our stories would be a Pacific Island style Chicken Licken story.

We noticed that each story followed the same structure and how we could follow the structure and create our own Chicken Licken stories.
We worked hard at choosing our characters names. We had some characters named 'Crab Grab', 'Dog Bog', 'Jittery Kitten' and 'Whale Bale' just to name a few.
We wrote each paragraph carefully and followed closely to the structure we knew a narrative story must have. This helped us to write a fabulous narrative story based on Chicken Licken.
