O lo’u igoa o Rosie Mauigoa. O a’u ole faiaoga mo le vasega e sili ona aulelei i totonu o St Joseph’s atoa - Ruma Toru e Year 5/6.
This is my first year of teaching at St Joseph’s and I am so blessed and honoured to be part of Ruma Toru’s learning journey as I begin my new career as a teacher. I believe in teaching the whole child. Learning does not stop at the door because your child brings with them a wealth of knowledge from home.
I enjoy meeting new parents and connecting with my learners, through sharing and exchanging stories. I love helping learners build their confidence and find their voice to become more independent and inquiring of their own learning. Through this confidence it is my hope that they also develop a sense of control, where they feel that what they learn and do, can influence things around them and ultimately their future.
I have two beautiful boys’ who are pupils also. When we’re not at school, you will find us out and about at the local parks, riding bikes and running up mountains. I love endurance training for fun and spending time with my aiga.
